AU55 | George IV (1820-1830), gold Sovereign, 1830, bare head left, Latin legend reads as GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA, date below, rev. crowned and quartered shield of arms dividing legend, continuing from the obverse as BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF., edge milled (Marsh 15; S.3801). Lustrous example with good eye appeal, slight but minimal scratching on obverse, graded by NGC as AU55.

NGC Certification 6135270-007.

Calendar Year Mintage 2,388,000.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as “George the Fourth by the Grace of God”, continuing on the reverse as “King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith”.
