George VI (1936-52), gold proof Five Pounds, 1937, bare head left, initials HP below neck for engraver Humphrey Paget, legend and outer border surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D:G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, edge plain, 40.03g (Schneider 670; WR 435; S.4074). An impaired proof with distressed original case of issue for the full set of four coins, once cleaned with areas of deep red-gold retoning, scattered marks to fields, about extremely fine.

Mintage 5,501 pieces, issued only in sets.
