Description
SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Seleucia Pieria. Elagabalus, 218-222. Ae (bronze, 7.63 g, 21 mm). Laureate head right. Rev. ϹƐΛƐΥΚƐΙΑϹ ΠΙΑΙΡΙΑϹ Temple with four columns enclosing sacred stone of Zeus Kasios; surmounting pediment, eagle above roof. RPC VI 8114 (temporary). Repatinated, nearly very fine.
