Manuel II Palaeologus, 1391-1423. Tornese (bronze, 1.74 g, 16x15 mm), Constantinople. Nimbate bust of emperor facing, pellet in left field and Palaeologan monogram in right field, double border of dots. Rev. Nimbate St. Demetrius on horseback right, brandishing sword. DOC 1601. Nearly very fine. Rare.
