Justin II, 565-578. (bronze, 2.55 g, 21 mm) Constantinople. Contemporary imitation. DN IVSTI-NVS P P AVC, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right. Rev. VICTORIA AVCVSTORVM, Victory alighting facing, head left, holding wreath in outstretched right hand and globus cruciger in outstretched left; star in right field; CONOB. DOC 13; MIBE 11a; Sear 353 for prototype (AV tremissis). Very fine.
