Description

Germany, City of Nuremberg, Medal ducat weight undated - NGC MS61 - VERY RARE Very rare medal of the german city of Nuremberg weighing one ducat. Issued between 1716 and 1746. On the obverse, under the figures of the Three Graces, the signature N, belonging to the Nuremberg mint master Paul Gottlieb (Nürnberger), who was active in the years 1716-1746. Ex. Sincona AG, Auction 33, 25 October 2016, lot 2297. Ex. Roma Numismatics Limited, Auction 27 (day2), lot 1037.
In our opinion, this is the most beautiful specimen ever to appear on the auction market. Medal taken from NGC slab graded MS61.

Diameter 24 mm, weight 3.49 g Bardzo rzadki medal niemieckiego miasta Norymberga o wadze jednego dukata. Emisja z lat 1716-1746. Na awersie, pod postaciami trzech Gracji, sygnatura N, należąca do norymberskiego mincerza Paula Gottlieba (Nürnberger), który działał w latach 1716-1746. Ex.
