SNG Levante 1118; SNG Paris 1647; SNG von Aulock 6046. From the Tareq Hani collection

According to Cavedoni (Spicilegio, num., p.211) , the reverse of this rare coin represents the meeting of Perseus and the fisherman Diktys, who drew Danaë and her son from the sea with his net, and was afterwards made king of Seriphos. Possibly this scene represented is some local unknown legend of Tarsos.
