Celtic Ornamented Bronze Mace Head. c. 1st century BC (6.8- 3.2cm). A cast cylindrical mace head with four large triangular-profile, lozenge-section spikes between upper and lower rows of smaller projections; the larger flat surfaces decorated with groups of three ring-and-dot ornaments, and singles on the smaller surfaces. Very rare. Brown-green patina, insignificant scratches, otherwise intact.
