Central Europe, the Boii AV Stater. Precursor to the Muschel Type. Circa 2nd - 1st century BC. Indistinct globular design with faint striations / Wide, flat ring sloping inwards to a central recess; bulge at one side. Cf. Paulsen pl. 14, 292ff; Lanz 49 (this coin). 7.51g, 16mm.
