France, First Empire. Napoléon I AV Medal. Celebrating the coronation of Napoléon. Dated L'An 13 = 1804. Dies by Andrieu; Denon, mintmaster. NAPOLEON EMPEREUR., laureate head to right, DENON DIR. ANDRIEU F in two lines below truncation / LE SENAT ET LE PEUPLE., Napoléon standing facing, in imperial dress and holding sceptre, on shield supported by senator in Roman dress to left and soldier to right, flanked by book to left and plough to right; AN XIII. in exergue, DENON D. ANDRIEU F. below. Bramsen 327. 26.16g, 32mm, 12h.

Good Extremely Fine; minor marks. Rare in gold.
