Judaea. Caesarea Paneas. Herod Philip 4 BC-AD 34. Year 5 = AD 1/2 Æ 21 mm. 10.0 gm. Obv: [KAICAP] CEBACT[OY], bare head of Augustus right. Rev: [ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ ΤΕΤΡΑΡΧΟΥ], bare head of Herod Philip right; in field, [LE]. RPC I 4938. Extremely Rare and the first issue to depict a Jewish King. 19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, 20 added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
