TABERISTAN, Jarir ibn Yazid. Year 135. AR Hemidrachm (1.88 gm; 23 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, name "Jarir" in Kufic on the 3rd quarter and phrase APD in Pahlavi on second quarter, phrase "APZUT" front of face, reverse, fire altar with attendants, year 135 on the left and mint, TPURSTAN (Tabaristan) on the right. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Fully Lustrous.
