SASANIAN KINGS. Shapur I, Eastern style, 240-272 AD. Æ (3.45 gm; 19 mm). More than likely minted in Marv or Herat. Obverse, Shapur's bust turning right with earflap behind the ear (typical for these issues), reverse, fire altar with attendants. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice VF. Nice original find patina. Rare.
