Outset of ABBASID revolution against the Umayyads, 129 AH. AR Dirhem (2.59 gm; 26 mm). mint "Samarqand" year 127 or 129 AH. Extremely rare mint and date. Lovely strike on a nice full broad flan. Choice UNC. Lightly toned with some luster. Lovely example for this rare issue.
