ATTICA, Athens. Ca. 135-134 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.82 gm; 28 mm). New Style Coinage. Magistrates: Mened - and Epigeno-, Asklepios. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right on amphora, head front; ethnic and magistrates' names left and right, in left field Asklepios standing left, leaning on serpent staff; third magistrate EYPY[K] in right field, A on amphora, ME to left; all within olive wreath. Thompson-354g; SNG Tübingen-1692; Ex CNG 82, 16 September 2009, lot 513 (Dr. Jorg W. Muller Collection); ex Berk 87, 13 September 1995, lot 119. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Toned.
