Description

THESSALY, Orthe. Late 4th century BC. Æ (9.06 gm; 20 mm). Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet with serpent coiled on bowl, border of dots / Forepart of horse right emerging from rocks on which grows olive tree. Rogers 422, fig. 227. Well struck on a nice full flan. Lovely original olive green patina. Rare.
