TIBERIUS (14-37). Denarius. "Tribute Penny" type/Octavian mule. Contemporary imitation of Lugdunum and uncertain Italian mint.

Obv: TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS.
Laureate head right.
Rev: CAESAR - DIVI F.
Mercury or Apollo seated right on rocks, playing lyre.

Cf. RIC² 26/30 (Tiberius; for obv.) and RIC² 257 (Octavian; for rev.).

Extremely rare and interesting.

Condition: Good fine.

Weight: 2.79 g.
Diameter: 19 mm.
