THESSALY. Larissa. Hemidrachm (Circa 460-450 BC).

Obv: The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining forepart of bull right by band held around its head.
Rev: ΛAЯΙ.
Forepart of bridled horse right within incuse square.

BCD Thessaly I 1110; BCD Thessaly II 153 var. (arrangement of ethnic); HGC 4, 455.

Condition: Very fine.

Weight: 2.89 g.
Diameter: 16 mm.
