MACEDON UNDER ROMAN PROTECTORATE. First Meris. Tetradrachm (Circa 167-148 BC). Amphipolis.

Obv: Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, with bow and quiver over shoulder; all in centre of Macedonian shield.
Rev: MAKEΔONΩN / ΠPΩTHΣ.
Club; monogram above, N below; all within oak wreath; thunderbolt to left.

SNG Fitzwilliam 2341; HGC 3.1, 1103.

Condition: Near very fine.

Weight: 16.45 g.
Diameter: 32 mm.
