THRACE. Maroneia. Tetradrachm (Circa 189/8-49/5 BC). Contemporary imitation.
Obv: Wreathed head of Dionysos right.
Rev: Blundered legend.
Dionysos standing left, holding bunch of grapes and narthex stalks. Controls: monogram to left and right.
Cf. Schönert-Geiss 1111-20 (for prototype).
Condition: Very fine.
Weight: 15.95 g.
Diameter: 33 mm.
