Description

PONTUS. Amisus. Tiberius (14-37). Ae. Dated year 60 (28/9).

Obv: ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ.
Laureate head left; c/m's: Nike and capricorn within incuse circles.
Rev: ΑΜΙΣΟΥ / ΕΤΟΣ (sic) Ξ.
Dikaiosyne seated left on throne, holding scales.

RPC I 2150; Helios 6, lot 656 (which realized a hammer of €900). For c/m's: Howgego 253 and 298.

Very rare, and possibly one of the finest known.

Condition: Very fine.

Weight: 18.26 g.
Diameter: 30 mm.
