Description

SELEUCIS & PIERIA. Antioch (47/6-14/3 BC). Tetradrachm. Contemporary imitation of posthumous Philip I Philadelphos type. Dated year 19 of the Caesarean Era (31/0 BC).

Obv: Diademed head of Philip right.
Rev: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟV / ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟVΣ ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟV.
Zeus Nikephoros seated left on throne, holding sceptre; all within wreath. Controls: Monogram to inner left and below throne; ΘΙ (date) and thunderbolt in exergue.

Condition: Good very fine.
