KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Fourrée Stater. Imitating Pella.

Obv: Helmeted head of Athena right.
Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ.
Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis. Control: Bee to left.

Cf. Price 202 (for prototype); cf. HGC 3.1, 934a (same; Alexander IV).

Condition: Very fine, core exposed in various parts, with some heavy peeling of the outer layer.

Weight: 5.00 g.
