Description
Kings of Armenia, Tigranes II (king 95-56 BC) AE Tetradrachm (Silver, 14.91g, 25mm) undated.
Obv: Draped bust of Tigranes r., wearing Armenian tiara decorated with a star between two eagles; around, fillet (stemma).
Rev: BAΣIΛEΩΣ - TIΓPANOY Tyche of Antioch seated r. on rock, wearing mural crown, veil and mantle, holding palm branch in her r. hand; at her feet, river god Orontes swimming r.; in field r. o; whole within laurel wreath.
