Description

Paphlagonia, Sinope, AE (Bronze, 18.74 g, 28.3 mm), time of Mithradates VI Eupator (120-63 BC), ca. 105-90 or 90-85 BC.
Obv: Helmeted head of Athena right, in crested helmet with Pegasus.
Rev: ΣΙΝ - ΩΠΗΣ, Perseus standing left, holding harpa and head of Medusa, whose decapitated body lies at his feet, without monograms.
