Description
Byzantine Pb Seal (13.12g, 21mm) Petronas monk(?) – (eleventh century)
Obv: Bust of Saint George (or Demetrios), with nimbus, holding spear in right hand, shield in left.
Inscription in two columns: ὁ ἅ(γιος) Γεώργ(ιος) or ὁ ἅ(γιος) Διμ(ή)τρ(ιος).
Rev: Inscription in four lines: Μάρτυς σκέπε μ(ονα)χ(ῷ)(?) Πετρονάς.
