Gordian III (238-244), sestertius (Bronze, 30.7 mm, 20.72 g), Rome.
Obv: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: VICTORIA AETERNA, Victory standing left with palm branch and shield; seated captive under shield, S - C in fields.
