Description

Persia, Achaemenid Empire, Uncertain satrap (Early 4th century BC) AE (Bronze, 1.57g, 10mm) Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor.
Obv: Bearded head right, wearing satrapal headdress
Rev: Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear and bow; three pellets to inner right.
Ref: Winzer 10.1 (Tiribazos, Sardes mint); Cahn, Tissaphernes 9 (Tissaphernes); Babylon, Traité II, 54 (Tissaphernes, mint in Caria).
