Description

Seleukid Kings of Syria, Antiochos IV Epiphanes (175-164 BC), Æ (Bronze, 34.1 mm, 37.72 g), Antioch on the Orontes, "Egyptianizing" series, struck 169-168 BC.
Obv: Laureate head of Zeus-Serapis to right, wearing tainia with Osiris cap at tip.
Rev: [B]AΣI[ΛEΩΣ] / AN[T]IOXOY / ΘEOY / EΠIΦANOY[Σ], eagle standing right on thunderbolt, wings closed.
