ACHAIA. Mark Antony, with Octavia (late Summer-Autumn 38 BC). Ae "Sestertius". 'Fleet coinage' issue. Uncertain naval base mint (Piraeus?); M. Oppius Capito, propraetor and praefectus classis.

Obv: M ANT IMP TERT COS DESIG ITER ET TER IIIVIR R P C.
Bare head of Antony, left, facing right; and bust of Octavia, right, facing left.
Rev: M OPPIVS CAPITO PRO PR PRAEF CLASS F C / HS / Δ.
A quadriga of hippocamps to right, surmounted by two drivers (Antony and Octavia?); below, astragalus(?).

CRI 291; RPC I, 1468.13 (this coin).

Extremely rare and in excellent condition for type.

Condition: Very fine.

Weight: 15,70 g.
Diameter: 28 mm.
