Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind.

Victory, standing left, leaning on shield, holding palm frond in left hand; under shield, seated captive.

A great rarity amongst the coinage of Gordian III, apparently only one other known example in the British Museum.
Condition: Extremely fine; lightly toned with underlying lustre.
