A FINE ROMAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF A BOY / YOUNG GOD
Circa 1st-2nd century AD.
The well-modelled, solid cast figure shows a boy standing with his weight on the left leg, wearing a sleeveless, girded tunic. He is depicted with a rounded face, curly hair bound into a top knot above his forehead, and a central braid in the back. The left arm is raised, the right arm lowered; both hands originally held attributes. Left arm broken and reattached; left leg cracked and foot broken. An abraded area across the chest.
