CARTHAGE. Circa 350-320 BC. Stater (Gold, 20 mm, 9.42 g, 10 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing triple-pendant earring, necklace tied at the back and hung with seven pendants, and a wreath of grain leaves. Rev. Horse standing to right; above the ground line to right, two pellets ( possibly three in a triangular arrangement, but the third obscure ); in the exergue, garbled inscription. Jenkins & Lewis Group IIIa 10 ( same dies ). A very rare early issue, of excellent style, nicely toned. Nearly extremely fine.
