★ Extremely Rare Magistrate ★
IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 390-320/00 BC. (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.14 g, 12 h), Hekataios magistrate. E-Φ Bee. Rev. ΕΚΑΤΑΙΟΣ Stag kneeling left, head right; above, astragalos. Cf. SNG Copenhagen 247-253 ( but different magistrate ). Pleasing dark brown patina and well struck for type. Extremely rare magistrate. Good very fine.
