ATTICA. Athens. third century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.66 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with palmette and three olive leaves. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing to right; in field to left, olive sprig and crescent; in field to right, [trophy]. HGC 4, 1634. Svoronos pl. 23, 27-28. Triton VI, 2003, 261. Extremely rare. Possibly the fourth example known. Toned. Minor flan crack; some porosity, otherwise, about very fine.
