KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames I, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.53 g, 10 h), third series. Diademed and draped bust of Arsames to left, wearing cylindrical tiara decorated with jewels. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΣΑΜΟΥ Eagle standing right on thunderbolt. ACV 16. CAA -. Kovacs 8 ( same dies ). Well centered, with fine details and a lovely brown patina. Some deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
