ZEUGITANA. Carthage. Second Punic War, 218-201 BC. Tridrachm (Bronze, 24.5 mm, 9.77 g, 12 h), circa 203-201. Head of Tanit to left, wearing a grain wreath, a pendant earring and a pearl necklace. Rev. Horse standing to right, his head turned back to left and his right hoof raised, wearing a halter around his neck; below his right hoof, pellet. MAA 81a. SNG Copenhagen 394. Sharply struck, well-centered and attractive, with a brown patina. Extremely fine.
