GREEK COINS Attica Athens, c. 455-449 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13mm, 4.18g 2). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with olive leaves and palmette turned upwards. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right with head facing; to left, olive spray; all within incuse square. Kroll 10e ff. SNG Copenhagen 41. Svoronos pl. 11, 20. Attrac­tive, toned and well struck. About extremely fine. From an American collection.
