LOW COUNTRIES, Flanders. Gent. 16th century. (Bronze, 15.5 x 15.5 mm, 3.97 g), coin weight of 1 Vlies/Gouden vlies, uncertain maker. Two ornate firesteels in the shape of the letter B within circle of perls. Rev. Lion rampant on shield to left. Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.

The firesteels as seen on the obverse are used in the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The coat of arms on the reverse has been attributed to the city of Gent in Flanders.
