THRACE. Ainos. Circa 357-342/1 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.57 g, 12 h). Head of Hermes facing, turned slightly to right, wearing a flat petasos with a button at the top. Rev. AINION Cult statue of Hermes Perpheraios on throne to left; to left, kantharos. AMNG II 365. HGC 3, 1280. Cf. May, Ainos 438 ( dies not listed, stylistically close to 438 ). Fine style, but porous and with a few light cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.
