VISIGOTHS, Gaul. Uncertain king, Circa 415-425. Half-siliqua (Silver, 13.5 mm, 0.96 g, 12 h), in the name of Honorius, uncertain mint in Gaul(?). D N HONOR VIO II AVG Diademed and draped bust of Honorius to right. Rev. VICTORI AAAVGG Victory advancing to left, holding wreath and palm. Apparently unpublished imitative issue, but cf. RIC X 1346 for prototype. Very rare and interesting. Scratch and areas of weak striking, otherwise, good very fine.
