MACEDON. Akanthos. Crca 500-470 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 9 mm, 0.40 g). Bull's protome to right. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. SNG ANS 51. SNG Ashmolean 2221. SNG Lockett 1291. An exceptionally well preserved example of this rare type; clear and well struck on an unusually broad flan. Very fine.
