BOEOTIA. Tanagra. 479-457 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 12.37 g). Boeotian shield. Rev. Τ ( inwards ) and Α ( outwards ) in two opposing quarters of a chariot wheel. BCD Boiotia 252 ( this coin ). McClean 5555 and pl. 200, 27. Pozzi 1392 = Pozzi (Boutin) 3216 ( this coin ). Extremely rare. Well-centered and darkly toned. Die shift and die rust on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
