Description

CARIA. Syangela. Circa 400-370 BC. Obol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.51 g, 5 h). Beardless male head to left. Rev. ΣΥ within an olive wreath; all within an incuse square with rounded corners. HN Online -, apparently unpublished. Seemingly unique. An interesting coin with clear types. Some uncleaned deposits, otherwise, very fine.

This piece adds a hemiobol to Syangela's rare series of silver, hitherto known only from tetrobols, diobols and obols.
