Description

CARIA. Kasolaba. Circa 410-390 BC. Tetartemorion (Silver, 5 mm, 0.17 g, 6 h). Forepart of a bull kneeling to left. Rev. Bare youthful male head to right in a circular incuse . HN Online 2572 ( temp ). Konuk, Kasolaba -. Very rare. Glossy dark patina as found. Obverse struck slightly off-center, otherwise, good very fine.

From the "Collection sans Pareille" of Ancient Greek Fractions and from the collection of L. Mildenberg acquired from J. Malter in the 1970s as "unidentified, perhaps Corinthian (??) or Peloponnesian".
