Tarsos. Tarkumuwa (Datames), Satrap of Cilicia and Cappa­docia, 384-361/0 BC. Stater (Silver, 23mm, 10.43 g 10), c. 380. Female head facing, turned slightly to left and wearing pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. TRDMW Helmeted and bearded male head (Ares?) to right. Casabonne type 1. Moysey issue 4. SNG France 262 ( same dies ). A beautifully toned, sharply struck and splendid example. Good extremely fine. Ex Hess-Leu 45, 12-13 May 1970, 326.
