Ambrakia. Circa 236-168 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 18mm, 4.53 g 5). Head of bearded Acheloos to right. Rev. ΑΜΒΡΑ Crab; above, monogram. BMC 18. CNG E-sale 98, 27 ( same dies ). SNG Evelpides 1772. Very rare, and normally found in poor condition. Flan fault on the obverse, otherwise , nearly extremely fine. From a European collection, formed before 2005.
