Tarentum. Circa 325-280 BC. Diobol (Silver, 11mm, 1.24 g 9). Head of bearded Herakles to right, wearing lion-skin headdress. Rev. Youthful Herakles, nude, standing facing, his upper body turned to the right, grasping the Nemean lion with both hands; to left, ΑΤΗ and club; between his legs, ΙΦ. HN III 978. SNG ANS 1433. Vlasto 1354 ( same dies ). Rare. A splendid, toned example, of wonderful style. Extremely fine.
