Parisii . 2nd century BC. Stater (Gold, 21mm, 7.19 g 3), class I. Celticized head of Apollo to right, with wavy hair and an X on his cheek ( joue tatouée ). Rev. Stylized horse to left with a fan-like checkerboard design above and a rosette below. CdB classe 1b. De la Tour 78. D&T I. 41. Very rare. With a bold and impressive head of very strong style, and a wonderful horse. Minor striking flatness, otherwise , about extremely fine. Ex Chaponnière & Hess-Divo 3, 21 May 2012, 222.
