PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. 1/2 Shekel (Silver, 20 mm, 7.13 g, 1 h), year LK (20) = 107/6 BC. Laureate head of Melqart to right. Rev. ΤΥΡΟΥ ΙΕΡΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΣΥΛΟΥ Eagle standing left on prow, with palm frond over his far shoulder; in the field to left, LK (date) above club; ZB monogram to right, Phoenician A between eagle's legs. DCA Tyre 4.15. Extremely Rare half shekel. This being the only example sold on Coinarchives. Sharply struck with excellent details and well-centered. A beautiful coin. Some very light pitting, otherwise, extremely fine.
